This year's theme: INVINCIBLE
April 15th – 17th, Venture Youth Ministry is headed to Camp Castaway for our annual Jr.High spring Retreat. This retreat gives teens an exceptional retreat experience. With live music, engaging speakers, small group discussion, EPIC games, REALLY GOOD FOOD, giant climbing wall, hot tubs, huge soccer/game field, gym, game room, Frisbee golf course and the beautiful surroundings, Castaway is a wonderful place for Youth to explore their faith. For many former campers, Camp Castaway has been a powerful experience and provided an important spark in helping them to feel more connected to God.
Who else goes to Jr. High Castaway?
- Besides 7th and 8th graders, Christina Ploog our Youth Minister, members from our Venture Adult Leadership team, several of our High School Peer Ministers, and other church and school groups from around the twin cities.

Who is this camp for?
- Teens who aren’t sure about their faith and want to explore what God and Jesus are all about. This is a great camp for exploring what a life of faith might look like for them in a very non-threatening way where they can ask a lot questions.
- Teens whose faith is strong and want to go deeper.
- Teens in between. This is a great retreat because it is SO fun, but also offers kids a chance to think about and talk about issues related to life and faith.
How much and how do I sign up?
- The cost is $145 and includes transportation and food and lodging for the weekend. Download the registration forms and return them to Venture Youth Ministry.
- Deadline for registration April 8th. If you want to go, better to sign up early, so you don’t forget.
- Scholarships are available. If you are interested contact Matt.
How do we get to camp?
- We'll be bussing it from Down Under, departing at 4:30pm on Friday
- Returning to Down Under at approx. 5pm on Sunday.
